you should have drawn a chalk outline around the rest of that stain...

I should and stick one of those little memorial crosses over on the side of the road. While most fur is gone I notice it's taking longer to grind the bones into the pavement. You could definitely still see the teeth in the jawbones when I walked by today.

Since we are mourning the death and passing of pets on this forum we it be okay to start a new thread where we mourn and celebrate the death of all the cows that gave us great steaks and all the pigs that provided us with great babyback ribs? Or is that carrying the dead animal thing too far????

I give daily thanks to the countless cows and pigs that have given their lives for the betterment of my muscles.

Chickens give me the stinkeye everytime I walk by due to the holocaust proportions of genocide I have levied upon their unfertilized embryos.

I had a pet skunk that I used to feed hotdogs to. He'd come around every evening. Never gave me any problems. Cept I just never got the nerve up to actually pat him on the head. I guess he could have been a her. Didn't want to check that out either. Hadn't seen him since I got back from Alaska. Out walking around today and found his remains. Not much left to bury or anything. Let's all remember the animals that had the unfortunate experience to become one with the place of there death. It's gotta be a sad way to go...

I took the photo you posted and enlarged it and showed it to a friend of mine who is a Veterinarian. He examined it very closely, had a cat he keeps in the clinic review it as well as a Labrador that is at the clinic also.

He determined after studying the CAT Scan and reviewing the LAB tests, that the skunk died from complications due to the over consumption of HOTDOGS.

This was verified by a Dachshund at the clinic utilizing a Weiner test.

Just thought you would like to know.:Heya:

Yep it's a violation of federal law to vaccinate a skunk, racoon, boccat, ferret, etc. against rabies. If you know a veteranarian that will do it for you keep it very quiet.

Known a few people who have had descented skunks as pets and they said they were great pets very intelligent playful and friendly.

A more correct way to put this is: In the state of Oklahoma, veterinarians are not permitted to practice medicine on indigenous wildlife without a special permit.

There is an approved vaccination for ferrets, which are domesticated animals. There is no approved rabies vaccination for any wildlife.

This is most often a problem with people who bring in wolf-hybrids. That gets really iffy.

THANKS!!!! I tried to examine his stomach contents but just as I started to step into the roadway a school bus came along and the rear dual wheels seemed to have deranged the scene enough that wasn't able to probe any further. Plus it was very traumatic emotionally.

Are you making fun of people who get upset over the loss of a pet?

I just can't tell is all.
