One of my jobs is technically, I think, at OSU and I had a question about the legality of carrying while on the job. I work in the fraternity/sorority houses, so I'm not sure if my workplace is within the official school boundaries. Would it be stupid of me to call the police department and ask them if I would be hauled off to prison if I were to have a gun on me? Overheard some of the kids talking about this today and it got me thinking about it, too.

It may depend upon the house; some are owned outright by the fraternity as a corporate entity, some are owned by the school (note: general practice; I don't know the specifics at OSU). As dlmcm observes, though, you'll almost certainly get the opportunity to contemplate it from inside a cell while they sort out the details. Also note that most houses with which I'm familiar have their own prohibitions.

If you are attacked and don't have a weapon, you may get an opportunity to contemplate it from inside a morgue while they sort out the details.

Just a thought. :drunk2:
