These are usually sketchy people in my experience, had a few like this from Facebook groups that give me that "feeling" and I simply refuse the deal now when they use broken English.

Some people have valid reasons for not doing calls. Such as, being deaf - much easier to do texts than to set up a call via a relay operator.

Sounds pretty legit to me, have them send you a check well over the amount you’re asking and then wire them cash of that amount that’s over and send them the item you’re selling.
