Haven't heard much reported about the recent Syria gassing that took place a couple days ago. Russia is already sabre rattling..

Just wondering how far you folks thing we should go. Should we get Assad? Should we get more involved or back out slowly?

Thoughts...

Funny how Trumps say's it's time to bid Syria adieu, and suddenly there's another chemical attack. The timing is just so coincidental, isn't it? :rolleyes2

We need to mop up ISIS ASAP and GTFOOS. Let the Arabian OPEC countries and the oil & gas industry overthrow Assad if
they want it so damned bad. This has NOTHING to do with the United States, and that's as is should be!
:angry3:

Found this earlier.

Last week, Russia and Syria announced the capture of British chemical weapon stockpiles in East Ghouta along with the capture of a “coalition” command and chemical weapons facility with all personnel. Taken from the combined statement censored from the western press, from March 25, 2018

“The Syrian Arab Army and with the help of Russian captured a shipment of chemical weapons destined for the Eastern Ghouta. These were British weapons produced at Porton Down in Salisbury. Russian suspects that the Skripal incident is related as by their records, Skiripal was working at Porton Down as a chemical weapons trafficker in partnership with a Ukrainian firm. Russia denies attacking Skripal but admits he was under surveillance for his activities involving support of terrorism in Syria and arms trafficking.

Russia also confirms that there are British, American, Israeli and Saudi intelligence officers who were caught by the Syrian army in one of the heavily fortified operations rooms during the invasion of the Syrian army and its allies of the East Ghouta.”

VT asked the Syrian government for serial numbers and closeup photographs of chemical weapons used. Syria sent them to us today.

Today, the Syrian Army captured the following German made poison gas shells, shipped into Syria though Ukraine and Turkey and delivered to Jeish al Islam by a US CH53 helicopter, according to statements “allegedly” gotten from POW interrogations.

American, British and Israeli military personnel captured in Syria have confirmed they were ordered to stage chemical attacks in East Ghouta by their governments.

and continues

The Americans are still being held along with Israeli’s while British prisoners are being negotiated for. Sources in Damascus told us that representatives of Oman in Damascus approached the Russian Office of Reconciliation on behalf of Britain for the return of British chemical warfare personnel.

The shells in the above video are identified as VX gas from British stockpiles.

Russian officials in Syria informed Britain through Oman that they would have to directly deal with Syria for the return of their personnel. We have received no further information since, Damascus has remained silent on how or if negotiations were proceeding.

We do know that US Representative Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, a US Army combat veteran of Iraq, met with both President Assad and Donald Trump, in order to arrange for covert exchange, for substantial financial consideration, of captured Americans.

Initial introductions for this meeting were done by VT.

Israel bought back a Brigadier General (they claimed he was a colonel) in 2015 that we know about.

The recent gas attack in Syria, timed as the last terrorists were surrendering for relocation inside the Douma region of the Ghouta pocket, was planned personally by nominated presidential advisor John Bolton and President Donald Trump personally, according to highly placed sources.

Our sources in Russia, highest level, told us the attack was coming based on information they received from US and Israeli prisoners taken in East Ghouta after an evacuation attempt failed.

US casualty announcements in this effort have been released over the past few days as happening in other areas to cover US complicity in terrorism. This dishonors families of the dead, not just in the misuse of service members to support terrorism but in lying to families about combat deaths. This shame goes directly to coward Trump!

“The Marine Corps identified four Marines killed on Tuesday in a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter crash near El Centro, Calif. The Marines were assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 465, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.

“The loss of our Marines weighs heavy on our hearts,” Maj. Gen. Mark Wise, commanding general of 3rd MAW, said in a statement.
“Our priority is to provide support for our families and HMH-465 during this critical time.”

The four Marines killed in the crash were Capt. Samuel A. Schultz, First Lt. Samuel D. Phillips, Gunnery Sgt. Derik R. Holley and Lance Cpl. Taylor J. Conrad.”

Other US casualties were listed as a US Air Force F16 that allegedly crashed at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada and up to 6 Americans who the US claims were killed by “Kurdish forces” in the north of Syria.

All died in a failed combined US/Israel rescue operation to remove not only communications and command personnel but also chemical weapons operations teams as well.

Last week, VT Damascus received evidence that Americans, US Army Special Forces along with Israeli chemical weapons officers had been captured in East Ghouta. We were told that not only was a command facility captured with modern weapons but a stockpile of British made 81mm poison gas mortar shells, numbering in the hundreds, was seized as well.

Video’s were viewed by former MOD weapons specialists who identified the green stripe on the shells seized in East Ghouta as VX gas from British stockpiles.

The Obama administration investigated alleged chemical attacks in 2012 and 2013 and advised Syria to turn over chemical stockpiles as a way of discouraging terrorists from continuing to stage chemical attacks to blame on Damascus.

Most efforts had their roots in Britain’s MI6 and its affiliates, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and the White Helmets.

The US is currently facing combined military operations against its occupied zone in Syria by Iraq, Syrian and Russian forces. The US has been told to remove forces from Syria or face a wider conflict.

The US and Russia have been at war against one another inside Syria for about a month now.

More coming…

Of note, the Donald Cook has 60 Tomahawk cruise missiles on board.

It is claimed that the US Donald Cook-named destroyer left Cyprus 's Larnaca port and landed near Syrian territorial waters. It was claimed that the missile destroyer named "Arleigh Burke" class Donald Cook (DDG-75) reached Tallus 100 kilometers and had 60 Tomahawk fuses on board. -CNN Turk (translated)
A Navy source confirmed the deployment with the Washington Examiner, who said that the guided-missile-destroyer had just completed a port call in Cyprus, while the Pentagon reportedly draws up plans for how to deal with the situation.

U.S. military planners have drawn up more than one option for possible military action against Syria, including a strike similar to last year’s attack in which 59 sea-launched cruise missiles inflicted heavy damage on a Syrian Air Force airfield in Homs.

Pentagon officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the options now are similar to those presented to President Trump after last year’s chemical attack in northern Syria that killed and injured hundreds of civilians, including women and children.

But officials said the president could decide to choose a more robust option this time, given that Syrian President Bashar Assad didn’t seem to get the message last time. -Washington Examiner

What is surprising is that according to the latest Stratfor naval map, there was no other major naval support - either amphibious or carrier strike groups - in the vicinity of Syria as of April 5.

Anyone remember the US Donald Cook from 2014?
Round 2. I'm betting it is being set up to see if we have figured out how the Russians diabled.
RUSSIANS DISABLE U.S. GUIDED MISSILE DESTROYER
Incident skipped over by the Pentagon-friendly corporate media

In April of this year, the USS Donald Cook was disabled while on patrol in the Black Sea by an unarmed Russian bomber.

A Russian Su-24 buzzed the ship and “disabled all radars, control circuits, systems, information transmission, etc. on board the US destroyer. In other words, the all-powerful Aegis system, now hooked up — or about to be — with the defense systems installed on NATO’s most modern ships was shut down,” reports the Voltaire Network.

The guided missile destroyer represents the cutting edge of U.S. military technology. It carries Tomahawk cruise missiles with a range of up to 2,500 kilometers, missiles capable of carrying nuclear explosives. The ship carries 56 Tomahawk missiles in standard mode and 96 missiles in attack mode. It is also equipped with the latest Aegis Combat System.

The Aegis Combat System is an integrated naval weapons system manufactured by Lockheed Martin. It uses sophisticated computer and radar technology to track and guide weapons to destroy enemy targets.

“The State Department acknowledged that the crew of the destroyer USS Donald Cook has been gravely demoralized ever since their vessel was flown over in the Black Sea by a Russian Sukhoi-24 (Su-24) fighter jet which carried neither bombs nor missiles but only an electronic warfare device.”

Prior to the incident in the Black Sea, the Russian defense ministry complained about the deployment of the warship. The ministry said it demonstrated that U.S. antimissile systems in Europe are aimed at undermining Russia’s nuclear deterrent.

Russia has condemned the placement by NATO of a radar in the Czech Republic and ten interceptors in Poland.

Russia is also sending a message in the wake of the United States and NATO decision to confront it over its alleged role in the crisis in Ukraine. This message could not be more blunt – Russia has the capability to shut down the most technologically advanced aspects of the U.S. military machine, including its ability to launch nuclear missiles.

It is interesting that the day after Trump says we're out of there, Assad gases his own people. Then the MIC says not so fast.

On Tuesday, President Donald Trump confirmed his decision about the US troops' early withdrawal from Syria, saying that he wants "to get out" of this Arab country.

Speaking at the US Institute of Peace in Washington, General Joseph Votel, commander of US Central Command, made it clear that American troops will remain in Syria in the future.

"There still are some areas where they are present and that we will have to continue to operate on," Votel pointed out.

He was echoed by Brett McGurk, US State Department's senior envoy to the anti-Daesh coalition, who said that ISIL is yet to be "finished."

"We are in Syria to fight ISIL [Daesh]. That is our mission and our mission isn't over, and we're going to complete that mission,' McGurk told the Washington gathering.

The two's remarks came after President Donald Trumppromised the US troops' early withdrawal from Syria.

"We'll be coming out of Syria, like, very soon. Let the other people take care of it," Trump said during a speech in Ohio last week.

Shortly after, he confirmed the move by saying that the US "almost completed" the task of destroying Daesh in Syria and that he wants "to get out and bring our troops home."

Pentagon Building New Base in Oil Rich Area in Syria's Deir ez-Zor Province – Reports
In separate development, Turkey's Anadolu news agency cited "trustworthy local sources" as saying this week that the US military has established two bases in the Manbij region in northern Syria's, Aleppo Governorate in northern Syria, controlled by the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The US military has been stationed in Syria since 2014, leading a coalition of allies to fight Daesh without either a UN mandate or the Syrian government's authorization.

Damascus has repeatedly described the US military presence Syria as "illegal." Right now, there are reportedly about 2,000 US troops in this Arab country.

Trump has already killed hundreds of Russians in Syria can you imagine how we'd like that if it were reversed?...Russia has spent billions of dollars and is the PRIMARY reason ISIS is all but defeated in Syria, while we were busy funding the Islamic nutcases to overthrow a dictator who for all his faults protects Christians and Jews from muslim violence (just like Saddam & Qaddafi).

The globalists have turned the world upside down and now Russia has the moral high ground, this isn't your parent's evil empire. They are trying to advance Christianity and fight radical Islam. The Shia Iranians are just a convenient cannon fodder Putin & Assad will use, and if our enemies want to fight each other we should not interfere.

Can you imagine how the liberal media would flip out if we were actually fighting ISIS and having priests bless the bombs like the Russian Orthodoxy is doing? Wake the fk up!!!

Are the Chlorine gas attacks a hoax?
I'm concerned about the video's coming out showing the "attack".
I have a pool. My chlorine dispenser is in a privacy fenced in area. When I open the dispenser, the gas comes out, and pretty much drives me out of that area.
I understand the difficulty to breathe in the chlorine gas, but as soon as I clear the area, my breathing returns to normal.
I also understand that some of these folks, if true, cannot get away from the gas causing injury, but what purpose does hosing them down in the video's serve?
The people hosing them down are not wearing gas masks, so if there were enough chlorine gas to keep the victims in distress, would not the people wielding the hoses be in distress also?
I'm not understanding the chemical cleanup process which leads me to question the attack itself. One day after Trump announced we are getting out.
I'm for GTFO. The Saudi's that we have spent trillions on can take over.

I worked at a pool that had an honest to god gas-chlorininator. Changing the tanks (about the size of an oxygen tank) was absolutely terrifying for a 16 year old. The guy that would bring them out to us would off handedly say that if one ruptured they’re have to exacuate 2 or 3 block radius, don’t know how true that is, but it’s gotmour attention.
