They were left for the local military we trained for years to use against the taliban in Afghanistan after we left.
That military folded like a stack of playing cards just like the South Vietnamese army did after we left, leaving the weapons for the enemy.
Yeah it's too bad it was unforeseeable that their military would fold in 5 seconds.

And the people who refused to see the signs that there would be a “5 second” collapse of the Afghan military start with National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan. Sullivan is the ass clown who in the Obama administration said it was a “video” that caused Americans to die in Benghazi in 2012.

In 2011 one of my team leaders was told to move his trailer away from his hooch because they were doing construction on the COP. He protested saying it would be out of his control but they insisted. Some other unit immediately stole it and he was hit with a statement of charges for like $3,000.

Then they leave BILLIONS of dollars worth of equipment to our enemy and NO ONE is held accountable.

Congress also decided to play brinksmanship with passing the budget while I was there and we were told despite literally being at war we wouldn't be paid until it was passed even if it took months....welfare recipients would still be paid in full and on time. We started taking up a collection for the junior guys living paycheck to paycheck with families back home. Congress patted themselves on the backs when they came to an agreement at 11:50PM on the last day but it was too late for the banks to pay us next day, so we got half a paycheck a few days latter and caught up two weeks after that.

THIS IS HOW THE GOVERNMENT TREATS SOLDIERS and they wonder why they can't hit recruiting goals.

They should have bombed it then.
I can only speculate, but I'll bet that the Biden administration offered all that equipment to the Taliban as a part of some withdrawal deal. You see, that way nothing would show on the books as some kind of payoff. Cleaver, but devious if true. It's something I wouldn't put past this administration.
