People who blame Unions usually are repeating things they heard. Most OSA members think keeping your word is honorable.

Well Unions and Companies enter into a binding contract. Its the Companies that dont keep their word. Its almost always the Company that breaks or violates the binding contract.

The Company runs the business and sells the product. Unions only negotiate wages, benefits and working conditions.

Its simple to me, if you negotiate a contract then stand behind it.

Lastly if GM cant make a product that turns a profit then let them go out of business. If the Union members want a job, then they can negotiate something or join the ranks of unemployed.

God forbid a working man make decent money. $25/hr is only $1000 (40hrs)a week before taxes, so $52000 a year gross, all while the board and CEO set on there a$$ and make millions....
And den? If da " working man" would have went to college or not picked a skilled trade he'd make more money. Why should one pay more for a unskilled job, just because a union told them too?

Yep, if I needed a dualie, I'd go Ford. (But I don't soooo)

My Toyota is a 98 and going on 160k. No major issues with the engine, transmission, or criticals.

Plan on getting a Tacoma when my wife and I both get out of school.

Unions have far outlived their usefulness. Ill say it once and Ill say it again. Look at the profit margins

I work for a union contractor, we have too much work and our bids are some of the steepest, we get paid a higher wage and benefits over the non union guys, but our quality of work is higher. If it wasn't we would be out of a job. People against all unions have no idea what their purpose is and what they actually. I'm not a big union proponent because like everything else it can be corrupted. But they do serve a purpose and like all other sensationalized media you'll never hear about the good unions/locals and the good things they do.

UAW needs restructuring, but to say its solely uaws fault is ill informed. All contacts are bargained and agreed upon. If a company feels they cannot pay they can fight and lockout.

Unions are not the problem greed on both sides of the fence is.
