Actually this is one of the biggest misconception in history. Might wanna study up on what several of the scientific minds actually said leading up to that point in history. Hint: Started WAAY before Columbus' time.... with Aristotle.

I didn't get that out of it at all. The paper would still need to have solid science behind it, it just can't be discounted just because it brings doubt on "accepted" theories.

You could be correct, it was the sentence that had me come to my conclusion.

Stated another way, students could make untestable, faith-based claims in science classes without fear of receiving a poor mark.

I don't see a problem with the legislation. We all know that school teachers are not the most intelligent beings in our society.

Can you teach Physics? Chemistry? Trig? Biology?

You are correct, they do not have P.H.D.'s heck most of them do not even have Masters, but they choose to get a collage education and teach our kids for horrible pay, at least in OK, crappy hours, and ask nothing in return. Beats the hell out of milking the welfare system.


Please do not lump all the teachers in together, There are some bad eggs along with some amazing individuals in our public school system. My wife is one of the great ones, and yes I am a little bias.

A college degree has little to do with intelligence.
