What are you shooting this deer season?

Primary deer rifle is a Ruger 77R Flatbolt in .308 topped with a Leupold Vari-X II 3X-9X. Inclement weather gun is a Remington 700 carbine from 1963 in 6mm with a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5X-10X. My woods/brush rifle will be a Marlin 336 in either .30-30 or .35 Remington. I might drag out my old 1950 vintage Remington 721 in .30-06 with a Weaver K4 scope.

Depends on the place I'm hunting, the weather, whether I've got my daughters with me, if I'm hunting for a doe (meat only) or a buck.

1. Wet weather or tight space = Remington SS Model 7 in 300 SAUM.
2. In timber with opportunity for open field shots as well, or where I might have the opportunity to engage multiple targets = Remington R25 308.
3. If hunting open range or wheat fields where the likelihood of 300+ yard shots = Remington 700 308 sniper rifle.
4. If only in heavy brush with tight shots and out to 75 or 100 yard max = Marlin 1895 45-70.

I'll be out with my usual Rem700adl in 243... but I'm half convinced I'm gonna pack out the Desert Tech 338. Couldn't get 'em in closer than 600 yards last year.

Primary is my Remmy Model 700 in 300WM. I will also be carrying a TC Contender in 45/70. 3rd I going to try to get my new ML back out since I missed the last half of ML season due to being in the hospital!
