A.J. the 223 is a very good all around cartridge.I think you will be very happy with it.

I agree. The .17 with the heavier bullet will still be marginal. The .223 will take anything available in our neck of the woods.

Tikka 595 in 22-250 with a 6-20X40 Weaver Grand Slam. Shot one today about 200 on the run. It went to bouncing and flopping then ran to the creek and I never found it. Don't know where I hit it.

win. .223, heavy barrel, simmons scope 4.5x19x40, (looking at getting the coyote special), normally i use the silvertip 55 grain, here is the "LEAD FARMER" in its new paint. but i have a guy that is hand loading me some that shoot a little faster, have not got to use them on a yote yet tho

Howa 1500 1-12 24" heavy barrel, Millet trs 6-25x56 mildot, harris bipod, 60gr v max hanloads, or 55 gr vmax handloads, both hold sub 1/2 moa @ 200.

Rem. 700 22-250, Nikon ProStaff 3-9, rapid pivot bipod (love that thing), been shooting 55 gr. hornady softpoints, but just loaded up some 55 gr. V-Max, hopefully will see their performance this weekend.

dpms ar-15 with a nikon prostaff 3-9x50 with the BDC reticule. plain jane fmj .223 ammo from wal-mart. I can shoot a clay target from 200 yards pretty consistantly, so it'll do for me.
