Far bit for me to argue with such an esteem gentleman as yourself but I watched a U-Tube video where it went up against the bug out. The bug out broke and this knife did not.I picked up the Bugout wannabee at my local Wally World the other day for 10 bucks. It doesn't have that Benchmade action or quality, but then again, it wasn't $180 either.
Paired it up with an Olight Arkfeld UV and a GondekEDC "Dark Villains" hank.

They've discontinued that orange one so I've heard the one that replaced it is white handles and that Walmart in Shawnee has a bunch of them for $5I haven't put it through any kind of torture test, but it seems pretty stout. It's heavier than a Bugout because it's fully lined. The Bugout is not. The action of this one isn't as smooth, but for a lousy 10 bucks, yeah, it's good enough. The texture of this one doesn't feel as good in the hand as the Bugout, but, again...10 bucks vs. $180+
The miracle of powdered steels and why I avoid them....great edge holders, cut paper for forever, but the world isn't made out of paper, and I value tough over edge holding except in very limited uses...like paper.Far bit for me to argue with such an esteem gentleman as yourself but I watched a U-Tube video where it went up against the bug out.
