With their agreements when they make a deal on a sale or trade?
It gets aggravating when someone says I'll take it and then won't call you back and answer your calls or texts.
I have had 2 in the past couple of weeks, One sent a text on an item I had for sale and said he would take it on the 26th, I called him on the 27th and the 28th and sent a few text messages and he didn't even have the decency to say I am backing out? he just won't answer or call\text back? I know I can relist it but come on guys MAN UP a little bit sheesh!!!!
The other is a trade that they have made an offer and I said yes. Maybe they will call soon???
If your not gonna honor your word then don't make the deal !!

Ok rant off, Thanks

I have only had one deal like that. Held a rifle for a week because a new member wanted to buy it. I held it and then never was able get contact back. I won't do that again.

Sucks to see people doin that. Thats usually how I have bought my parts for my car over the years. alot of times I made deals for a couple weeks out or a payment plan with the seller if they were willing to work with me. Only a few times did something come up that interfered with the deal & I always made sure to be prompt about letting them know & always finished every deal I ever made.

Its not hard to stay in contact, heck sometimes thats the easiest part of making a deal.

Fortunately I haven't ever had this problem dealing with OSA members.

I did have guy just flat out screw me over through Armslist when I posted my AR there, after not getting any interest in the classifieds here.

I didn't want to use Armslist for that reason, but needed to sell it.

I talked to the guy twice. He said he definitely wanted it, and we set up a time and place to meet.

He calls me up later and says he had lunch with a friend that had some ARs to sell, and he bought one of them instead.

I told him what kind of guy I thought he was, and he just said "I'm sorry".

He texts me the next morning, and says he feels bad, and will still buy it, but for $200 less than we agreed on because I was asking more than it was worth on the market.

I didn't answer his text, sold it that afternoon, and could have sold it ten more times, before the day was over.

Hey guys, if I ever do that please just pm me or call or whatever. I bought some mags from b-man, but between being sicker than a dog, trying to catch up at work, and trying to catch up here, I didn't send the money when I said I would. Fortunately, we know each other, but if I ever do that just pm me.

Also, if you guys contact me and I say I'll get you the name of lawyer who may be able to help you, and then go silent, just pm me. I stay so swamped, I'm surprised I remember to wipe my butt.

Sry to hear hipshot. People are people and I've pretty much learned to lower my expectations of them.

Thankfully most everyone here on OSA that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with has held up to their word. Percentage-wise, I think we are MUCH better than the average population.
