I was a Chase customer for many years, primarily because [once upon a long ago] their Electronic Banking system was both 1) easy to use, and 2) rated highly by several financial publications. But the 'problems' just got worse - a lot worse! - over time... so when Wifey and I moved to Edmond eight years ago, I transferred to Oklahoma's Credit Union (like Aku and CHenry).

Very best financial decision I ever made! All the credit union employees are friendly, knowledgeable, helpful... and they know me by sight. I'm greeted by my first name when I walk into the nearby branch (which, to us old geezers, is actually important). And their Electronic Banking service is far better than Chase's!

The bureaucracy is absurd, but a lot of this is because banks are terrified to run afoul of FinCEN enforcing the Bank Secrecy Act. I don't know how the Biden Administration has been dealing with them, but the Obama Administration was utterly ruthless on financial institutions.
Obama killed WAMU, one of the few decent banks and it got bought by Chase.

Use a credit union.

Chase has been monitoring my hunting items and reloading stuff i have been purchasing and started declining my card one week. Plenty of money, no phone calls or didly. I call and find out they had stopped purchase from Graf and Sons, Midway and Brownells that past 2 days. When asked for a reason, The bank security team decided to do that because I would allow Microsoft or McCaffe to renew their subscriptions. I had decided McCaffe was not good. So They couldnt give me a real reason for declining my purchases, but to find out they were monitoring my hobby purchases really freaked me out!

When and why is it a banks business to tell anyone how they spend their money? It is the customers money they are holding without them there is no need for the bank.

Never had a problem with Chase.
A lot of problems with my credit union since they changed names. Supposed to be depositor owned. Don't think so anymore.
Friday when cd matures I'm taking it out and paying off Chase. Then closing the CU accounts been a member 61 years but it's got bad lately
