Yes the dispatcher did say, you don't have to follow him, AFTER he had told Zimmerman TO follow him. At that point Zimmerman did stop following, only to be confronted by Martin. You have to read the Whole transcript of the dispatcher/Zimmerman interaction, NOT just the parts you want to buoy up your argument.

Might I point out, that the police dispatcher, whom Zimmerman was actively on the phone with, ASKED Zimmerman to get out and follow Martin so the responding officers would know where Martin was when they arrived? This portrayal of Zimmerman as a "stalker" is inaccurate. He was acting at the request of the Police, who he was actively in contact with. Now why in the world you you call the Police and have a "chat", if you were "stalking" someone. Zimmerman had taken on the responsibility of being a watchman for his neighborhood, and was doing ALL the things the Police, WHO HE CALLED AND WAS IN CONTACT WITH, were asking him to do.

Thankyou!

I've been saying the same since long before the trial started. Also what if he HAD stayed in his car, Martin WAS a robber/rapist, and something HAD happened? Zimmerman would be called a coward or some such. He just can't win through no fault of his own.

S4F, you need to lay off the Nancy Grace for awhile. I know that despite her size, she's still kind of hot and would probably be a great roll in the sack. But you sound like you've been moonlighting as a producer for her. Take a break from the Nancy man!

I am tired of hearing GZ referred to as a stalker. At what point was he ever stalking Martin? You can't answer that because he never was. He was gathering intel for the police. He was doing what any good citizen would have done to protect his neighborhood. And GZ didn't keep on following Martin after the dispatcher told him " he didn't have to do that". The dispatcher never told GZ to stop following him. You guys are twisting the information to fit your view of the case. And if I was walking home and there was a chicken hawk following me I would walk a little faster to get home. Not go get into a confrontation with him. That is what an idiot would do. And that is what Martin did. The fact of the matter is that Martin was a thug and loved to fight. He saw someone and wanted to fight him. Well he did and it cost him his life.

hmmm...I can't seem to find a version of the 911 transcript where Georgie was told to follow Martin.
