"Thug" appears to be a political term used by conservative base to describe who they deem "the bad guy" in order to make the centerpoint person of an unfortunate incident appear somehow morally righteous.

Martin was a thug because, as a juvenile, he had a run in with school authorities.

Zimmerman, as an adult, was guilty of assaulting a police officer among little brushes with the real world grown-up law.
He was a hero.

I am tired of hearing GZ referred to as a stalker. At what point was he ever stalking Martin? You can't answer that because he never was. He was gathering intel for the police. He was doing what any good citizen would have done to protect his neighborhood. And GZ didn't keep on following Martin after the dispatcher told him " he didn't have to do that". The dispatcher never told GZ to stop following him. You guys are twisting the information to fit your view of the case. And if I was walking home and there was a chicken hawk following me I would walk a little faster to get home. Not go get into a confrontation with him. That is what an idiot would do. And that is what Martin did. The fact of the matter is that Martin was a thug and loved to fight. He saw someone and wanted to fight him. Well he did and it cost him his life.

"Gathering Intel" pfft...he was acting out his cop fantasies.

There is no evidence that Martin was a thug, his "rap sheet" is not extensive. He saw someone stalking him and he wanted to stop the stalker.

Georgie is a loser who had called 911 over 50 times in the few years preceding his killing of Martin. Who calls 911 50 times in a lifetime, let alone a couple of years. "This is GZ, I have a car here in the gated community that is traveling entirely too slow, they're obviously looking to pillage and rape the community."

Both of them had their pasts excluded from the trial. Pretty standard stuff. People only seem to be concerned with Martin's history.
I don't think anyone is even arguing about the verdict.
It's just the tendency of some on here to keep poking a dead kid with a stick...
