ummm, no, I'm not.

Florida: "(1) An "assault" is an intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another, coupled with an apparent ability to do so, and doing some act which creates a well-founded fear in such other person that such violence is imminent."

When Georgie started stalking Martin his actions became an unlawful threat. This unlawful action could have put Martin in fear. Evidently it was a well-rounded fear as Georgie pulled his courage from his holster and shot the kid.

Again, no matter how many times you say it, you are still wrong.....simply following someone to observe their actions is NOT assault under Florida law because it is NOT "unlawful".

By the way, something for you to consider if you really are just trolling.....is it really worth the risk of pissing off potential customers just to have a little trolling "fun"?

lol....do people really take this internet thing so seriously that to win an argument they would resort to boycotting a business?

As far as trolling. Yes and No.

I do believe that GZ had a right to defend himself. I do not believe that he would have stalked Martin had he not been armed.

I also believe that Martin felt that GZ was a threat and did what he felt that he had to do.

I'm not saying that Martin made the right decision, just that at 17 I probably would have beaten a stalker to death too. You can say that GZ wasn't stalking all that you want, but you weren't in the shoes of a kid that had a creepy dude following him, even to the point of chasing him when he started to run.

Not sure anyone is trying to win an argument, and I don't see how boycotting a business would "win" the argument, but, yes, I believe your "trolling" here has potential to damage your business. Go back and read what you wrote and the general response to it. Most of it wasn't favorable and, how many people read what you posted, strongly disagreed with it but didn't post?? How many potential customers did you offend by posting this:

"Ok, let's try this. Had Z-man been able to take the ass kicking he asked for like a man, Martin wouldn't be dead."

"Maybe men lacking bravado should stick to stalking little old ladies."

"Hey, if you're man enough to stalk a person you're man enough to take an ass whipping, right?"

"Martin is dead because Z-man is a candy ass, he harassed Martin to the point that Martin feared for his safety and then couldn't stand the heat of the ass kicking that he deserved."

People do vote with their dollars, can you afford to lose potential customers for fun??

I never said Zimmerman wasn't following Martin, I said following him was not, as you claim, assault. You say Zimmerman deserved an "ass kicking" for following Martin even though he had every legal right to do so, I doubt many folks here agree with you. I believe the way you have voiced that opinion on this thread will have consequences, but maybe it was worth it to you.

seems even one of the jury members thought Zimmerman got away with murder. no what you call it or if it meets the legal definition of stalking. if someone kept following your child in near darkness, despite attempting to run away.

legal or not, if one cannot understand how this will be interpreted as a hostile action. then they probably think person being stalked doesn't have a right to take defensive actions.

in case you missed it ... I'm not taking up for Martin, for he probably was a total hoodlum. I just don't like someone getting away with shooting someone as a direct result of actions he initialed.

further I don't like the fact that all the MASS protest out there that could end up threatening our 2A rights.
