All the more reason to support national concealed carry reciprocity.

Being old enough to remember what was last-minute added to the Federal 1986 Firearm Owners Protection Act (FOPA), the ban on new full-auto registration, I am scared to death of what would get added in to a Federal National Carry Act: required annual training, limits on guns carried, meeting LEO training requirements, or ????? that has nothing to do with carry, like ammo bans, magazine restrictions, national registration. Right now it is up to each individual state. The present anti-gun states would certainly try to put poison pills into any national bill.
I'm afraid we would be trying to cure an ingrown toenail and end up chopping off our foot.

Thursday February 26 is the last day each chambers committees have to hear bills that originated in their own chamber. The Senate Public safety agenda has no additional firearm bills on it. The house agenda still has not been posted as of this writing, maybe they won't meet tomorrow at all. In either case, looks like another year where a lot of good bills went to committee never to be heard from again.
