I didn't draw a thing but I honestly don't care this year as I finally got on a lease. After hunting only hunting on pubic land the last 16 years, I am stoked! Feel like I have a draw hunt year round!
Had a chance to do some scouting yet?I didn't draw a thing but I honestly don't care this year as I finally got on a lease. After hunting only hunting on pubic land the last 16 years, I am stoked! Feel like I have a draw hunt year round!
I've spent 11 hours out there and think I've located 4 stand locations. It's pretty spread out. I keep getting distracted by fishing the ponds lol.Had a chance to do some scouting yet?
Oh hell ya! Fishing is a heck of a bonus.I've spent 11 hours out there and think I've located 4 stand locations. It's pretty spread out. I keep getting distracted by fishing the ponds lol.
No doubt! There's several ponds and a watershed that were trying to fix the food control gates on, so we can flood it for waterfowl.Oh hell ya! Fishing is a heck of a bonus.
I don't know if I can find it, but there is a youTube video out there with some instruction where they use some plastic 2" tubing, shove it all into the pond to fill it, cap one end, and take it over the dam to generate a natural siphon. No pump required. Takes a few days depending on the size of the pond to get it to the level you're wanting. No doubt! Whoa that's too big for a 2" pipe. Take a year, lol. Thanks, Dennis! When the watershed is full, it's probably 50-70 acres. It should hold pretty well. It's maintained by the county, just gotta get them to fix the gate and shut it, hopefully
Assuming normal rainfall, it might take a decade...Whoa that's too big for a 2" pipe. Take a year, lol.
