Any restrictions in buying and shipping ammo?

Companies like Cheaper Than Dirt & Bud's ship ammo all the time to other states. I don't remember any Hazmat fees or other restrictions.. they shipped it just like they do firearms. The only gripes I ever hear is about the cost of shipping.

I received my box of 500 .380's from Freedom Munitions to try out by Fedex this morning.

In the SW Michigan area Fedex will not accept small arsms ammo shipments from individuals without HAZMAT certification. As of today UPS still does.
