The Swadleys near Quail springs is terrible. You will have a hard time getting me in any Swadleys after eating there. Their catfish sucks to.
Bad Brads is my favorite.
Iron Star has the best ribs ever. All of their side dishes are excellent too. Great corn pudding, okra, atc.
I've only had the one in Mustang. Still, I'm surprised they could be so different. I never tried the catfish though.
I'm pretty sure the one on the southside is still open. Its a few blocks from my house and they are usually busy.
It's seems like Swadleys is all over the place. I agree the new one in Mustang is outstanding. We get the trash can meal. It's like $45 and is served on a trash can lid. come with 4 meats, 4 sides, 4 drinks, etc. We always bring a bunch home.

This is my experience also. I did venture into the Swadley's in Mustang and had a sandwich (combo of meats) that was good. I haven't tried their other bbq again. The first one still left a bad taste.
I like Leo's, Earls, and the Van's in Norman, and the Bob's in Norman was also good. I have yet to try Bad Brad's.
