cheap .22

im looking for a cheap .22 rifle to do some plinking with i have looked at a couple stores like bass pro and walmart. does anyone have any advice on which ones to look for or stay away from.

You can't go wrong with the good ol' Ruger 10/22.

I would say that it depends on your definition of cheap.
Like redline said, the 10/22 is good, $250 good.
The Marlin model 60 is $150 good.

I think the Ruger 10/22 is one of the best platforms for what he wants to do. It can be used and built on as one wants.
