Mod 60, good shooter, left stock, Ruger 10-22, if you like to dress up a gun, and buy, carry and load mags. The 60 and carry loose ammo in the pocket, simpler.

I have a Marlin Model 60 as well as an old JC Higgins model 30. Both are fun, but the Marlin hands down wins on accuracy.

Both the Marlin Model 60 and the Ruger 10/22 are great, but if you are looking for a shooter and not wanting to "pimp" or "tacticool" your gun then go with the Marlin. Had to buy another Marlin so I could shoot it, can't get my daughter to give me back the other one, it is her favorite .22.
