I guess they better start practicing speed load drills...I guess, it's sort of a step forward. Only leaves the one hurdle whereas we've still got several.

Let me tell y'all something ... there was this person who used to fancy theirself a hot-shot shooter at the local IPSC matches around here. Now ... this person was a better shot than some, not as good as others ... and this person was quicker than some, not as quick as others. But every, single time this person saw new shooters out at the range this person would say "Here, let ME show you how a reload is supposed to be done."

Now, I dunno about all the times this person did this that I wasn't around, but I ran the circuit pretty regularly for a couple of years, so I saw this routine on a fairly regular basis and EVERY SINGLE TIME this person said "Here, let ME show you how a reload is supposed to be done" to a new shooter this person flubbed their reload. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Now, I ask you, if a fairly accomplished shooter -- and again, this person was quite a bit better than the average shooter out there -- consistently missed a reload under the pressure of a few extra eyes on them, what in the world do you think is gonna happen to the AVERAGE shooter's reload?? How many average shooters do you know who even practice their reloads??

I'm not thinking this is such a good idea ... Problem is, those who do, and decide to carry with way, most likely won't find out until it's too late.

Now don't get me wrong as I feel and believe as most of you have said. Utah also allows CCW but has also added this part. This just allows the full "legal" carry of a weapon concealed or on your side. Not in a case in you hand. Allows for loaded clips as you carry this way. I do agree that it is of no use in a quick situation. Just was throwing this topic out for discussion.

Maybe it would be a deterrent because bad guys wouldn't know if it was loaded or not. But I don't think I'd walk around with an exposed unloaded firearm. I think it would make for more trouble than not.

They'll be shootings all the time...like the ok corral....blood in the streets, blah blah blah lol

Not what I'm saying... The "CC" represents Constitutional Carry in this thread, but I see how that can throw a person off. My point is politicians play politics. To pass constitutional carry, the politicians backing it will cave to some asinine rule (like unloaded only) just to say they got it passed for the constituency. This is how government works these days. I'm a

For the record, Constitutional Carry is what is used in AK, AZ, and I believe WY now. As a US citizen, you can carry however you like without jumping through any government hoops.

That Utah thing is basically was CA just banned, open & unloaded carry.

It is kind of funny though, can you imaging if 2nd were "The right to carry inert metal objects of minimal use shall not be infringed"?

I guess that's okay as long as there is something in the law that says the bad guy has to give you time to load your gun before he starts firing at you.:uhwhat::screwy:
