Yes on the 300 ford six.
If you have not seen or heard how that is done your motorhead card needs turned in.
And with a little in the know the LS GM bore spacing and bolt pattern are nearly identical and with some tweaking "Tweaking" used loosely here the LS head can sit on top of the 300" six and trump the old school tweaked Cleveland head setup.

Just for you.

I think Grumpy Jenkins did the first 300 with sectioned Cleveland heads.
It appears that there is an aftermarket performance head available now...

I love the inline 6 but my dealings with them were in cars like mustang, comet and granada.
200 and 250" with automatics.
24-27 MPG from those with NO OD and with a carburetor.

Had a 66 with a 170" six.
It was light and would burn rubber pretty easy with the skinny 14" tires.

In a truck maybe more cubes will be better to make some TQ.

It ran ok but the po swapped the radiator to the v8 radiator to get the trans cooler. Had some other things that needed to be converted so I opted to swap in a g8. Not a fan of the inline 6 for a daily.
Wish that were a 250 and I'd make you an offer, good swap outs for the 170 Ford 6cyl.
