I have no desire to see it, and I don't understand society's obsession with it.
Here are two that I never saw until later in my adult life.
Casablanca - Never watched it until my wife made me about 10 years ago. Excellent movie.
Godfather - Another one I never saw until about 6 years ago. The 1st one's great, the 2nd's good, the 3rd's....meh..
I watched it and everyone said OMG its the best movie ever..........I was like ummmm i didnt see how it was so great. I havent seen any of the godfather movies

I agree with you guys about the Godfather. I don't see what the big deal with that movie is. I've seen it a few times and just don't like it.
Oh, I have an idea. I love that movie and think most of it is brilliant.
I take a lot of crap for it though. It's one of the "cool movies to hate". Because people think it "tries too hard" at being deep or meaningful. (Plastic bag scene, etc.) I see it more as a black comedy, intentionally overdone...but brilliant. The mid-life crisis, the teenage stuff, the affair, the job, the gay neighbor, Ricky...it's done that way intentionally. It's not meant to be realistic or believable. I think people just hate it because they heard they should hate it.

I agree. It seems that the movie critics and I hardly ever agree.
Yes, I actually liked Catwoman with Halle Berry. But hey...it's Halle Berry in leather....ripped up leather. Who needs a plot line?
