So you're saying all privileges should have a cost/fee associated to them?

No, not at all. I am saying don't piss and moan about having just as much right to be on the road, as there are no rights for anyone to be on the road. It is a privilage. Just stating what the law says.

I'm also saying if you slow down traffic because you are a non-curtious dill hole, you should get a big fat ticket, reguardless of your choice of transportation. Also the law.

I think you're hair-splitting. We do have as much a "right" to be on the road as motorized vehicles. I guess you would rather me say, we have as much a "privilege" to be on the road as motorized vehicles?

Fortunately, with the law and those that enforce the laws they can issue tickets at their discretion. Cyclists on the roads don't really slow down traffic as much other traffic on the roads... How often do you have to wait for the car in front of you to turn right, or turn left? I'd wager that you spend a lot more time waiting on other motorists during your daily commutes and this entire "cyclists slow me down on noes!!!" issue is blown way outta proportion.

But I understand, people gotta hate. It's natural.

Just because you have a right to do something that doesnt mean its a good idea. When you get on a bycicle or motorcycle and interact with cars, your putting your life in danger...period. I would suggest bikes stay on bike paths for their own safety.

Oh I don't mind them being there. I just give them a little bump. Rubbin's racing!

Most move over. They are okay. It's the ones that don't....

Here's food for thought;

In order to use a public road for a parade, which will obstruct traffic, you must apply for a permit, and pay. Don't those paraders have the same "right" to the road? Why can't they occupy a lane any old time they please? Why should they have to pay? I bet they have tagged and insured cars at home. Haven't they already paid? Aren't they just commuting the way they choose to? It's just not fair!!!!

Note: Paperwork and money to parade!

None to ride a bike

It's all about risk vs reward. It's plenty worth it for me.

And most bike paths suck.
