Most are mentioned that I would suggest except for The Cottage = weird hours BUT VERY good. Also The Horizon, out on Mundell Rd I believe, over looking Beavers Lake. GREAT view of sunset over lake.

I HAVE to add that some seem to not like Ermilios and think Devitos is better. I have a friend that thinks that, but not myself or wife. Can't beat Emil meatballs or the ambience of the old home with old Italian pics on wall. I tried Devitos once while walking downtown and was not impressed = OF course could have been the dish or timing. BUT the atmosphere sucked with window peekers and all the people outside AND crammed in. I'd say food is probably the same depending on what you get BUT a trip to Eureka you HAVE to go to Ermilios in an old house on the historic loop but be there when they open or there is a wait, almost always. (but bar upstairs with games to occupy time)

Really don't know how I forgot to mention Autumn Breeze. Ate there only once exactly 10 years ago yesterday right after getting married. Probably the best steak I've ever had. Prime Rib (not my favorite cut) that was smoked then grilled to order along with the coconut shrimp. Truly amazing experience. It's a very lah-d-dah eatery but very good food.

My wife and I always hit both the Italian places mentioned as well as the German place. There is also a fantastic little organic Mexican (Ark-Mex) place called The Oasis that is a must for us, usually for lunch or brunch. It's off one of the stairway sidewalks downtown and doesn't look like much, but it's where the locals eat and the food is AWESOME.

I will have to agree with the Horizon for a sunset meal. Of course with the weather this weekend, that might be a hit and miss. Very nice. If you go to the Bavarian, the crispy duck is amazing. It just dissolves in your mouth.
