Gov't searching packages?

I think the NAICS of the shipper makes it subject to audit. I've worked for mfgrs that seemed to have 2 or 3 random shipments delayed every year because it might have been 'hazardous material'. It was DOT that checked, not ATF or CIA or NSA.

Not at all sure who is checking the OPs stuff, but there's a great chance it's a random thing.

Yep, it was the 10hp model with the pull starter and dust bag attachment.

Seriously though, it was some primers and projectiles from Natchez Shooter Supply. That's it.

They had to make sure those primers had the magic dust on them that makes them expire in 6 months.

I don't see what the big deal is. Try flying a commercial airline, the TSA will search your "package" there too, sometimes more than once.
