But in sales you have to understand the Law of 250. Says that the average person knows 250 people well enough to have some influence on them. If the 2% (a low estimate) population each influence 250 people to avoid a business, then we will have a serious economic impact.
It's 4.5% as of 2011, more than double the figures from 2006.

I think the letter was spot on. And as for taking a softer tone, I've seen letters and even people complaining in person at different businesses over a wide variety of issues who were MUCH angrier and insulting than this and they got results. If the business owner thinks you're a "nut" for writing a strongly worded letter pointing out the fact that he doesn't seem to care about your rights or your family's safety, then I sure as hell don't want to patronize his business. I won't be going there.
Where did you get your numbers? When I checked here added up those that were granted from 02-11 (176,634), and divided it by this (3,791,508) I got 4.659% of Oklahomans as of 1/1/12 were permit holders and I would imagine when the numbers from 2012 are updated on the 15th of this month that will go up quite a bit more.
If I take your numbers and apply those over 18, 2,855,006, then the percentage seems to go up to 6.187% of the poplutation.

Then if you figure out how many are over 21, it would probably increase again. Then add in people who have other states non-resident permits and I bet the percentage is probably around 10%

And I think more of us should do the same. As long as we just quietly abide by (or conceal and don't tell) their "silly" rules, they will think that everyone is OK with them.
