Break Free LP for auto's and stainless guns.
Note this is LP, not the 3 letter version of the same that includes a cleaning element. I too have had good luck with LP on both auto's and stainless. Don't know what the stuff does when it's colder than 0 F. It does work fine in 110 F conditions, as well as staying put just fine.

My primary use for Ballistol is as a cleaner. Its manufacturer rates it for cleaning metal, as well as wood and leather. Haven't tried it on those two yet myself.

Check your EWL for separation. I put mine in a needle oiler and find that it will settle and stick to the bottom. Not sure if it's wax or what but shaking the bottle vigorously or running under hot water gets it back in suspension.
I run my AR's WET with EWL, CLP will evaporate after a short time.
