Yeah, maybe I was harsh...but I've always been accused of killing flies with a shotgun.

BB mentioned pet peeves. One of mine is people complaining about the outcome of situations that they created through their own actions/inaction.

Back to the usual cop (and now Judge) bashing......

Danggit Greg ... You're clogging up my sig line! LOL

I have some paste that will help some of you with that wadded up panty problem. You know what my pet peeve is,... people who think I might give a rats rump about their pet peeves.

Personally, I think the brown shirt acted like an ass. Expired tag, acceptable. Disrespectful tone, and the bogus second ticket... just a gimp with a small dangles trying to compensate. Gotta love people on a power trip.

Okay I thought he is taking care of the consequence of his inaction (more than willing to pay for the expired tag ticket)....

And not trying to bash cops (and now judge).

I just think the two tickets are the same.

A highway near you.
One of those should be dismissed. Failure to pay taxes due to State and Expired License Tag ARE the same thing. Look on your citations and see if he put the violation number on there and look it up. Should be 47-xxx-xx or something like that.

If you have trouble with the Trooper's attitude or the way he treated you, I'd contact an OHP Supervisor and complain. This Trooper's name wasn't "Martin" was it?

Didn't they give you fire marshalls a copy of Title 47? Depending on the citation the officer used, he could have very easily cited him for two different offenses -- See A.5. http://www.oscn.net/applications/oscn/DeliverDocument.asp?CiteID=447334

Now see A.9., same Section.

If I had the time and energy I could probably find at least a couple more to tack on depending on how outrageous a person was being.

ElcaBob, if you really think you were mistreated the stop is on tape. Call and ask for a supervisor. He can take it from there. BTW BB did this several years ago when she felt a trooper mistreated her oldest son. IIRC it was handled to her satisfaction.
