Just give ODOT 20% of your paycheck, They don’t get enough taxes from our paycheck. Auto debit, What’s another 20% ? You can trust the government to be very economical & efficient with our hard earned income, you know, just like we manage our household budgets. There’s no waste.
Keep voting to increase your own taxes, and you’ll wind up having to be subsidized by your government to live/exist. Back on the plantation, or indentured servitude.

NO NEW TAXES, WHAT’S SO HARD ABOUT THAT ?
Hey! The pimps in govt need more and more $$$$ to support the millions of invaders swarming across our borders! How else are they (govt pimps) going to buy votes to perpetuate their meaningless jobs?!

If they don't raise taxes (for the above), they'll be forced to find honest work! They'll starve!

Sure they can. Cars are retail items, and there are pretty hefty state taxes on their sales. They already have state fees on tires, so it wouldn’t be that difficult for them to add more.
Problem with this is that the tax would be one tough nut to crack. Paying the tax a little bit at a time such as paying by the gallon of fuel would spread the amount out over time into much smaller payments.

Besides, giving to a government that has little to no discipline such big amounts all at once would lead them to spending it on something else besides roads.

I wasn’t saying it’s a good idea, I was just saying they could do it.

The only way for this to work is for the state to track you. Some Oklomans have their own land and they maintain their own roads. The Turnpike is funded by a toll paid electronically. What happens when you drive out of state? I put on at least 3500 miles of out of state travel per year, plus I get to pay tolls and taxes in other states. Say No. This is not about fair taxation it is about tracking the frack out of you. Check into it and watch some WEF videos, this is what the left wants. Most cars sold (if not all) have the ability to track where you are, how fast your going, how long you stay someplace. Someday not only will they track your mileage, but they will ticket you for reckless driving when you avoid a deer on the turnpike or send you a traffic ticket for 15 over when you pass someone on the interstate. These people are pure evil. Don't empower them any more.
