I also use an 870 with a 26" barrel. I took my benelli duck hunting once and I thought that if the boat tipped over I would die trying to get my shotgun out of that freezing water. I've since decided that a duck gun must be capable of being used as a paddle. It has to be able to stand being thrown from the place I'm standing to the shore and any other abuse that might be necessary. I've been thinking about trading for a Nova, but the 870 will do just fine.
Which ever one you can hit em with. Personally I like a Benelli for all my feathered friends. Also, looks like other shotguns far outnumber the rest thus far.
The best for me has been the Benelli Super 90 that I have used since 1995, and before it, I used a Belgium Browning A5 "magnum" that was built in 1971.
I don't think I even own a shot gun anymore that's not a Bennelli ...
Well except my Franchi ID I-12 LOL
I've had Moss 500, Rem 870 etc. Bought my first Bennelli (Nova) and stuck with them. I do have to say though, the Nova eventhough it's probably the toughest gun I've tried to destroy. It's got to be the worst as far as comfort, shouldering and plain shootability.
