John Boehner SUDDENLY believes in WIC, Food Stamps and other socialist programs. John Boener has seen the light and now he's trying to be Ted Kennedy. LOL!
BTW: Wic is funded into early November.
There's plenty of time to vote on these ridiculous "mini bills".
What Duke heard on C-Span the other day was Boehner being served up a well deserved dose of ridicule.

To add to the funny, when was the last time anyone saw a positive post about social programs on OSA?
We've suddenly become a bunch of bleeding hearts because it's politically convienient to do so.

Actually I've seen quite a few posts where people have said entitlements are ok in moderation if used by people who need them. They are grossly abused and that's what pisses everybody off, me included.
FYI, I never heard that ANY republicans wanted to do away with programs like WIC. They do, however, want to cut them and I think they should. Every year after serving every person on the roles, they have something like 300 million in funds left over. Since at least five bucks of that come from me I have a problem with that.

And at the same time the Dimocraps are our new BFF because they are responsible for shutting down the f#*7ing gubment we all despise.

What kills me is the absurd notion that .gov funding is supposed to be done in an "all or nothing" fashion. These bullsh$t Omnibus budgets and CRs of late have everyone believing that is how Congress was meant to fund the government. Big fat packages like that just give everyone a pass and allow them avoid responsibility.

I say stick with normal order of business; let every Congressional committee submit their budget for passage independently. Every function of our government should have to fight and lobby for funding...not just belly up to the pork filled Omnibus platter.

That actually sounds pretty good to me.

Yep and I'm sure that you've heard that democrats opposed the abolition of slavery. What's your point?
You're talking about a hundred years worth of difference there.
Boehner's alive and kicking today. Maybe he's had a Road to Damascuss experience. If the Republicans want to do a new awakening and suddenly become the champions of the poor, well, I'm all for it.

I'd like to see Boehner shave his head and dress in a diaper like Ghandi.
Don't say it couldn't happen.
