Nice Deer German.

At least I can say I have seen something dead in a cotton field now. Otherwise I am pretty certain that cotton could double as an asphalt parking lot.

I did not think they would be able to harvest the cotton this year, it looked so bad, but they have been at it for a couple weeks now down there.

My son got this 8 point Saturday morning. He was fighting another 8 point just before he ran our direction chasing a hot doe. There has been tons of work put in to get this buck. The pay off was worth it when my son got him. He is 14. His first buck. I have years in teaching him to shoot and hunt. I am so prod of him. His 22-250 in the heart and lungs got him down in under 50 feet from where he shot him.

He has a few deductions, but it looks to be right around 140" give or take. 23" main beams, 5.5 bases, G2's are 12" blah blah blah, but he is not concerned with the inches. This is just a pretty cool looking 8 with character.

That's a great buck, takes a lot a bone for an 8pt to get to 140"! Again, congrats!
