Woke up at 5am to trees bending over in the backyard and 30+ wind gusts. Decided not to chance it. Wake back up to 15mph wind and a solid temperature for deer movement. Ugh. Guess I'll go out this evening. Don't know that going out now would do much good.

The wind kills my hunting. I never see movement when the wind is raging

I would guess the last 3 cloudy days would have some bucks on their feet. Seems like it always take a cloudy day or really cold temps to get them moving, weather is perfect right now.

It's always the "what if" scenario. A cold snap like this is bound to get the deer moving. Guess that makes 3 of us that played our cards for this afternoon. Good luck guys!

Ain't gonna kill one sittin on the couch! If I'm going to do an all day stand, this is about the time that I like to do it. Saturday and Sunday I am going to try and go from dawn to dusk. Lot of action going on in the woods right now. Wind was howling this morning, but I went and sat in a stand before work for an hour and a half and had one nice buck bird doggin a couple of does. Does were full speed with their ears laid back trying to get away, he was persistent.

the weather i seen this morning on channel 9 showed the wind would be dying down around 5 this afternoon. cant remember exactly what it showed, seems like it had it around 10 or 15mph at 4 and then it dropped down to about 6mph at 5-6pm.

I don't think the bucks pay as much attention to the weather when a doe is leaving a "chase me" scent trail. When it's on, it's on. I would have loved to have been out this morning.

I had a nice 8 point cross the road in front of me last night. He was not scared at all. Just slowing walked across the road and hopped the fence, maybe 15 yards away. I'm very far South
