So let me get this straight, I guy sell a gun for $1,000 that a month ago was selling for $500 and he is wrong for doing that. We live in a supposedly free market economy which says the prices are set by the buyer not the seller. I say more power to them. Also, if supply dips and demand increases so does prices.

This has been discussed so much lately. My take is the above doesn't bother me near as much as the guy who goes to Academy at 4am, buys an AR with the intent to make a buck, and then puts it up on Armslist, Gunbroker or worse comes here to peddle their goods. That to me isn't free market but a CRIME. I hope they get anal warts "like a boss".

It is a crime "Straw Buy"

A person who makes a purchase on behalf of another person. A straw buyer is used when the real buyer cannot complete the transaction for some reason. It is not necessarily illegal to use a straw buyer, except where the transaction involves fraud or purchasing goods for someone who is legally barred from making the purchase themselves.

That's not what cowzrul was talking about.

If this gets an crazier, I might just sell some of my Federal XM-193. I think I will wait until it hits $1.30 a round, that way I can make a $1 a round.

I sold my Sig M400 yesterday at Super Daves show for $2500 and sold 10 boxes of Monarch .223 for $15 a box with it. Yes, it was way more than it was worth, but I would have never listed it here for that price. I think there should be a distinction between "the public" and "osa". For the most part, I think the majority of members here feel the same way, but unfortunately there have been a TON of new members pop up lately that hit their post count and jump into the classifieds.

This goes both ways. My first transaction off of OSA involved me listing a pistol for less than anyone else's used price then going down an additional $50 for an OSA member. Said member listed it on Armslist two days later for $100 more than what he paid for it.
