Yes, people may have a “right” to take a knee and not stand and thus disrespect those that gave their all defending that flag. Where this got sideways was when they were doing to sell the patently false narrative of “systemic racism” and doing while they are on their employer’s dime where they may not have had the “right” to do such.

IF people want to be a richard noggin and disrespect our flag ... be prepared for disrespect in kind.

I think that's where the rub kicks in - the bipedals that kneel are simply trying to paint a false narrative and pretend to be victims. The DB that started this was more than adequately paid, these young folks don't have enough sense to do anything other than mimic their "heroes".

The ultimate conclusion of all this is exactly what we see today - an attack on anything "White" and an animosity to our culture. The young ones may be being led into an event they didn't bargain for, while their wealthy "heroes" will be insulated from the fallout.

Given the culture that predominantly takes a knee in these times, I'd wager the father wasn't there in a high number of cases. Statistically speaking.

Crucifying a guy who condemns them is unnecessary.

Commit an act of disrespect to the National Anthem, get a pat on the back for being "brave". Those who criticize risk employment.

We may not like it or agree with it, but the right to peaceful protests is every bit as much a part of the Constitution as 2A. We can not expect others to agree with our view of 2A and then not agree with their view of 1A.

Speaking for myself, I have no issue with a peaceful protest even if done by race pimps trying to monetize dead black butt.

"What" they are protesting ... the false narrative of (gasp) "systemic racism" is the issue as is "how" they are protesting. They do not have the right to protest if their employer tells them "no" while they are on his/her dime. That is not a First Amendment issue.

Another concern is how so many "peaceful protests morph into riots. IF the so-called peaceful protestors were such outstanding patriots and civically minded citizens, they would have been outspoken to the violence and destruction. But they were not.

No one at my home would have beat me for disrespecting the flag or veterans. "Home" never taught me to respect either but the schools did and we had some ex-Army and Marine teachers who would happily educate those who disrespected the flag. Now schools allow the students to do as wish, respect and patriotism is optional.
Simply because the liberals have altered the Constitution to give someone the right to not say the Pledge Of Allegiance or respect the flag doesn't make it right. Unfortunately, the men and women buried in National Cemeteries are unable to speak in their solitude.
