Waiters hourly wage is 2.13 an hour + tips. I waited tables so I generally tip in the 30-50% range. Just paying your dues if you were in the profession. As far as a 10% tithe, that's on your entire salary. I believe customary tip these days is 15-25%.
Yeah comparing tithe to tips was pretty

I just tip at restaurants. If the service is good, I'm sure they get a smile on their face when looking at the cash tip.
We don't add the tip to the bill as it is then logged on the restaurants books. The wait staff is then charged taxes on the tip. Cash goes directly to the person you had wait your table.

I’m a really good tipper. When I was young the two people I tipped like crazy was the waitress at the bar (about 100%, and I was a professional drinker at the time). Also, my barber. If I go to the base they get at least a 100% tip. Also, for Christmas, my wife lets me get a couple thousand out of the bank (as a present to myself). I’ll go out to fast food restaurants at night and give $100 to everyone working. Last year I was going to go out and find someone and give out a thousand. Unfortunately, someone we knew got very sick, so I used the money to help pay the medical bills.
