If that's true, then the same logic (or lack of) applies to students praying before the game. Can't have it both ways.
that is false. the 2 separate groups have differing characteristics, values and ideals. Not to mention different levels of understanding.

I don't know if the protesters understand what they are protesting or not, but the 2 groups are not equal to the point of having the same levels of understanding.

Booker T. Washington. Enough said.
All the General Lee schools and statues getting taken down and names changed, MAYBE Booker T. Washington needs a review???

Booker T
. Washington, educator, reformer and the most influential black leader of his time (1856-1915) preached a philosophy of self-help, racial solidarity and accommodation. He urged blacks to accept discrimination for the time being and concentrate on elevating themselves through hard work and material prosperity.

No no no Dennis!

This requires hard work and self determination, and this shouldn’t be a requirement for success in the U.S.A .... there is no place for personal accountability and work ethic in the modern U.S.A............. this Booker T Washington guy is clearly using antiquated concepts and completely lacks the rational thinking skills needed in today’s society. Help is not something that can come from within, we all know it takes a village raise a successful person today..........

Idiocracy
I've always heard, When you think everyone/everything else is the problem, it's time for a little self reflection. The confederate flag, U.S. Flag, cops, the "system",etc.

In all fairness @YukonGlocker generally tries to bring several sides of any story to the table to make ya think. Sometimes it makes me think, other times I fall flat on my face. My take is that he is simply saying kids are kneeling because that is what they see, know, are taught and want to be a part of. Kids that are praying are doing so for the same reasons. Either way, they are doing what they are taught, talk about, believe and have experienced. Grew up learning Russia/Cuba/China/Poland/South Africa were bad, their people were slaves to the government, they had no freedoms, etc. Army trained me for years to fight the U.S.S.R, later trained with the Polish Army, later fought beside the Polish Army. They were brought up that the USA was bad, had no freedoms and were slaves to the Government. All you know is what you are taught, until later in life when you can form your own opinions.

That's why we need to go after the teachers that promote this BS.

Well I read the comment which eluded to the fact they may not have known what they were even protesting. I don’t think it is the same situation as those players praying before a game. If you are praying you very likely know why you are praying and if you don’t know why you are praying then you shouldn’t.
