Double blade H & H spinner or in ponds with a lot hydrilla I like using plastic worms with no wieght

If I had to go fishing and could only take a single lure, probably a Mepps Aglia, or similar rooster tail. Rebel Crickhopper has always been a good one in yellow or firetiger in ponds. Work it irregularly like a grasshopper swims and almost always catch some nice bass.

#2 or 3 Mepps Aglia for the win. I've caught everything on those.

Most of the time i'm casting a 1/2oz spinner with a Chartreuse and white skirt with some orange and black in it.

1/8th oz single spinnerbait with white are black grub. great for ponds,creeks and lakes.

I think a spinner bait would be my go-to bait. Size and color depending on water clarity and location.

Grew up fishing farm ponds in NC and would have no problem doing so year round with pumpkin seed, weedless plastic worm. Once water temps began to rise, I'd occasionally tie on a hula popper from time to time bc there's nothing like top water action to get your heart going.
