There's something about cutting hay that brings the little buggers out. I may rig a scabbard for my .410...Hawks do not catch many gophers, as gophers spend 99% of the time underground.
I think Justin is right. I usually see them along 412 between I-35 and Enid, it's usually 1 hawk to every third wood post.
I am headed that way next week for a family vacation to the Hillsdale, Goltry, Nash metroplex and will check it out. (We are going to dig for crystals, watch the bats and eat a Chicken Fry from Grumpy Joe's!)
