Why is there a 22LR ammo shortage?

And by the way, i've seen LOTS of good folks on here offering ammo, etc..etc. especially to kids. I'm not saying everyone that buys a brick or two or ten of 22 is some sorta fiend.......

My thinking is they (anti 2as) would encourage us to get riled up over not being able to get 22s (ammo in general) that we would be in favor of limiting the amount that someone can have/buy. Don't be surprised when one of our rhino politicians proposes this as a compromise to some liberal antigun proposal. After all we must do it for the children and to preserve our American heritage and way of life. .....and it'll pass.

I have a cousin that has probably 20K rounds of .22 Fed Bulk. He doesn't even own a .22.

I've asked him WTF so many times I get tired of hearing myself.

Its just his thing, I guess, and won't sell a box.

I cleaned out my safe this weekend, opened up a can that I thought had only my muzzle loader stuff in it. Found a brick of CCI. I felt like I had just hit it big at the casino.

Not at all, mainly just tired of the "you don't NEED that," and "it's for the children," arguments used to try and limit my ownership of things.
