We went to 5 guys once ... once. Won't be back. The food was all meh, and the price was absurd. Pay extra for everything. Oh, you want mustard, that's extra. Ketchup, too?!?!? Extra. A pickle?!?!?! Tomato?!?!?! Onion?!?!?!? Jeez! It's like you want a burger with everything!!!!
I agree 5 guys to expensive and so is Bad Daddy. Del Rancho for me, fresh cooked burgers and crinkle fries and greasy enough to soak through the paper bag.
You sure that was Five Guys? The add-ons like lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, and condiments are free at Five Guys (I just checked their online ordering to confirm, BTW). Even grilled onions are free, and lots of places charge for those.

At one time 5 guys was my go to place but that was when a double patty burger was around $7. I haven't been back in years.
I think I will stick with Johnnies for a real burger. Love the #8 with double meat and a half order of rings.
