get rid of it.......no more worries!!

It'll be a sad day when we get rid of the diesel Excursion. Granted, diesel prices are jacked up, but what else can drag our herd and all of the heavy crap that accompanies a large family with enough space so that no one has to touch each other? Besides, my youngest has an awesome booger art collection on his booster seat that no one wants to disturb (or touch).

Anyone know of a OKC/ Norman/ Chickasha source of Cat EC1 rated ELC coolant, like Rotella? I checked Atwoods, Auto Zone, NAPA and WM without success.

that was just the egr, head issue.. wait till the fuel system has an issue. the best advise i can give other than selling it would be to use motorcraft or roccor filters for the fuel system. no wix, fram, napa, etc.....

Of the 40+ that you guys run, how many trucks had problems? Was it just a few with reoccuring problems or all of them?

FWIW, Doge and Cheby are having issues themselves with EGR systems, injectors, fuel systems in general....etc. They all have their issues and if you correct the things I mentioned here, normal wear and tear is all you will have to deal with.

the trucks with the 7.3's have been the best trucks. The 6.0's and 6.4's have so many high dollar problems. i have 1 6.4 liter that has 15k worth of repairs in one year. fuel sytem(remove cab) turbo went bad(remove cab) head gaskets (remove cab). I drive a f250 everyday and i'll never own a ford.

ya, if you correct everything they engineered and stuck in their 55k trucks you should be gtg!
