I have a nice weigh-safe hitch and think the design of the more expensive Factor55 locking pin would survive the freeze/hammer better because turning the key is what actually screws the "nut" onto the pin.
I took a trip out of state and picked this up...$20.00. And it works like new and made in the US of A..
