I am in the bottom of that state map (northern Roger Mills Co.) and it's been snowing and blowing here since about midnight. Can almost see 50-75 yards max here now. Gonna be a wild day for sure.

The wife's family is up in Gage. I feel for you guys. Going to be snowed in for 2 weeks and cattle are going to be scattered across the countryside. I'm guessing you guys still had snow on the ground from last week?

NOMAC just haaad to put me on a rig working in Arnett...I barely made it off location last Thursday, thanks to my broken 4wd. Gotta go do it again this Thursday. Hopefully the roads will be cleared at least...

Most everyone in the panhandle isn't even working today.

I planned ahead and moved Jeep #3 and my VW out of the way so Jeep #1 and Jeep #2 will have a clear shot down the driveway when the lovely people at the church next door to me plow their parking lot into my driveway again.

I like how 3-6 inches of snow is a blizzard lol should hear the stories from my dad about growing up in North Dakota

This always gets me too. Growing up in extreme northern Kansas (3 miles south of the Nebraska line), we knew if we woke up to less than knee-deep snow that school was on. Here, they frequently cancel school in anticipation of snow! My wife grew up in Michigan, they rarely ever cancelled school, no matter how deep the snow. All what you're used to, and can deal with I guess.

Well, it's funny to see folks from the upper midwest whine about the "heat waves" when it doesn't even break 90*F too, but what we normally get is a dusting of snow atop a layer of ice. Driving in snow is one thing; driving on ice is something else entirely.

Was in Alva yesterday and there was still 6" of snow on the ground, and the ditches were full. Tractor city transportation only up that way for a while after this probably.

True. Grew up in north-central Kansas, and it was the same there. Our school rarely if ever closed. Also worked for a boss that never, ever closed because of snow; it was a NAPA store, and I worked the counter as well as made deliveries. Nothing like driving across town through a foot of snow in a 2 wheel drive truck to deliver a pair of wiper blades. It was fun, and I was a pretty good driver in the snow when I was a younger guy.
