He was running tags.

I am going to take my wife and go shooting now. You guys see what else you can drag up while I am gone.

is that what they are doin when they seem to be toyin with me? I thought I just looked suspicious and they were waiting on me to either mess up or take off....

I use my phone regularly while I drive, but I know my limits and know if I think it is distracting me I set it down and wait.

Yep, you look suspicious and they are waiting for you to mess up. In the meantime however those JBTs are running your tag, hoping to find outstanding warrants and hit the jackpot ... :wink2:

the only times i every had a laptop in the car with me in use was when i was tuning my subaru and that was on very very out of the way side roads. Around town i had it out and doing stuff but would only glance down at it when i was at a light and what not. Not ever ever ever while i was driving. people are bad enough on their phones as it is much less a computer of some sort.

I see OKC officers using them all of the time while driving. At least they are doing something useful with them though.

Followed an OHP doing this the other day for several miles. To his credit he stayed in his lane, though he used every inch of it.

I've seen this several times here in OKC, although for the most part I've not had an issue with it, there was a single incident that really aggravated me involving a Patrol car nearly side-swiping me because the officer was focused on his notebook computer display instead of the road. I was not a happy camper. :)
