Man, I’ve been so busy getting my old house ready to sell and dealing with the new one being built that I haven’t had a chance to get out. Heck, I’m barely ready for deer season but I put my rod in the truck today. Told myself, self, you’re going to wet a hook. Couldn’t find any big fish but had fun catching some small guys.

I hit Haskell lake again this morning and I think I caught the same 4 little Bass

While fishing for catfish bait. This one went back in my pond. Aggressive little fella.

Made it out to the lake today. The wind/waves were terrible but the 3 hours of boredom slabbing for Hybrid Stripers turned into why we all fish in the last 30 minutes of daylight. Changed from the slabs to a top water Zara spook lure.
They were slapping it out of the water then coming back for it. Catch on every cast.
Kept 10 around 3-4 lbs average, releasing at least that many.
