That's not even close to the same as picking up a pistol from a gunsmith.

Taking the pistol out of the case to Check out the new sights is something most would do, not only to check proper install, but to check out the new sight picture.

Dawson sights need thread locker so you may need to heat the front sight to remove it if they used red rather than blue, "they recommend blue". If they didn't use any, it will be self evident within 20-30 rounds when the front sight is loose.. Dawson sights come with the installation tools which only takes a few min.

As for tires... Yes, no matter who did them I still check the lug nuts with a torque wrench when I get home.
