This was part of the original HB2522. They have removed general open carry from this bill and put in almost everything else.

You guys just don't get it yet.

Our masters don't want us carryin' around guns in the open. oooooooohhh! Scaaary!

They pay lip service to supporting our rights and claiming we're just as law abiding and responsible as citizens in all the other states with OC while at the same time laughing behind our backs in the backrooms of the legislature at what a bunch of dumb ass rubes we are.

You optimists go ahead and hope but when the session is over and OC has bitten the dust one more time you'll all feel disappointed while us cynical pessimists will be sayin' to ourselves - knew that was coming and won't feel bad at all 'cuz we expected it.

I've said it once, twice and more. I'll say it again.

The fix is IN!

I think your right, but I'm still hoping for the best.

Apparently the Public Safety committee thinks they are are in charge of public safety and citizens are not to be trusted to open carry. In effect they believe themselves wiser than the founding fathers.

Apparently Senator Treat needed to file an amendment to keep this bill off the senate floor so he could have a few more days to work on what he really wanted the bill to say. Rumor has it that if the text of this bill can go back to the engrossed version that came out of the house, it will pass and the gov will sign it.
